Meet Our New Intern from New Albany High School!
This summer, Kaan Odabas has joined our team to learn more about autotomotive technology and get exposed to Connected and Automated vehicle research. Kaan is a rising senior from New Albany High School. At school, his interest areas are math, physics, biological sciences, and engineering. He also is a varsity tennis player, National Honor Society executive committee member and Student Council class representative. New Albany High School requires all seniors to complete a personal 100+ hour senior seminar project based on their interests. With his interest in physics and science, coupled with his eagerness to develop his skills in mechanical and software engineering, Kaan chose to do an internship at the Automated Driving Lab (ADL).
As part of his senior seminar project, Kaan is building an electric skateboard and exploring possibilities of incorporating some smart mobility into the design. In addition to his work for his seminar project, Kaan is also learning about Python and MATLAB. Using MATLAB, he will get familiar with Image Processing and incorporate this knowledge to his seminar project.
Welcome to the team Kaan and we wish you a great internship!
